Pre-enrollment and Visa

If you are a non-EU student residing outside Italy and you have been accepted to the Foundation Course blended/ on campus option you must apply for a Study Visa type D in order to attend the program in Pisa.

The Visa procedure requires the following steps:

  1. Pre-enrolment application through the Universitaly portal
  2. Visa process with the Italian Embassy/ Consulate in your country of residence

The pre-enrolment application must be validated by the University of Pisa and the validation gives you the right to contact the Italian Embassy/ Consulate in order to apply for a Study Visa type D.

Study Visa application steps:

  • Go to the following link
  • Select “International students/ registration”
  • After having completed the registration read “The 10-steps-path to Study in Italy” here
  • Go back to the home page and go to “International students/ Pre-enroll now”
  • If all the details are correct and you have uploaded all the necessary documents we will validate your pre-enrollment application. Otherwise we will contact you.
  • After the validation you must contact the corresponding Italian Embassy/ Consulate in your country of residence and you must follow the instructions that will be given in order to start the procedure to apply for a type D study visa for “university study / enrollment”
  • After having obtained the Study Visa inform us

The preliminary acceptance by the university does not confer any right to obtain a Visa.
