I am very excited to be part of the Foundation Year and get to know everyone. My name is Aurora Di Giammarco. I'm 17 years old (18 in October). My mom is Brazilian and my father is Italian, making me Italo-Brazilian. I was born in Rome but moved to Rio de Janeiro when I was 1. Then, when I was about to turn 5 I moved back to Rome, where I lived until I was almost 12. That's when I moved to Texas, where I attended eighth grade and all four years of high school. I always had a passion for biology and medicine, which is why my main goal for the future is to study Dentistry to then become a pediatric dentist, since I also love working with children. My favorite hobbies are running with my dog at the park, drawing, cooking & baking, and working on remodeling apartments as an interior designer would. I also love spending time with family and friends since they always bring a smile to my face.

I spent the last years here in Milan, tutoring kids and working while looking for a path to get back to my studies. I can’t say how happy I am for the fact that I found the University of Pisa, and being able to get selected as one of their Science foundation year students. I know this is the best first step to my degree in clinical Psychology.

Hi, my name is Beatrice Colleoni, I’m 18 and I’m from Italy. My hobbies are reading, listening to music and going horse riding and I think that the FC is a great opportunity to meet people from around the world and exchange information and facts about each other and our Native Countries. In a modern and globalized world, we need to expand our knowledge and always be curious and ask questions to people that have a different perspective of the reality we live in. Being together and stay connected, especially in a period like this, is important for our growth and for our future and we have to be grateful for the opportunities we have.
