Students of the University of Pisa are issued:
- The virtual Badge
- The European Student Card
- The internship logbook (where required by the degree program)
Unipi Virtual Badge, European Student Card, and Access to Canteens
Starting from the 2025/26 academic year, the virtual badge has been introduced for all UNIPI students (enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, master’s/postgraduate programs, PhDs, specialization schools, and exchange students).
All Unipi students (not only newly enrolled students, but also all regularly registered students) will find their virtual badge—complete with photo and QR code to identify them as University of Pisa students—on Agenda Didattica under the ‘ID’ section. Along with the virtual badge, they will also find the European Student Card (ESC).
The ESC is a European Commission initiative that allows student status to be verified via a QR code at participating ESC network institutions and services. It can be used to access services offered by participating institutions, including—depending on the case—university services, benefits, and discounts, particularly during periods of mobility or stays abroad. The ESC is automatically available and requires no activation.
Starting from November 2025, for access to university canteens, DSU has launched the new MyDsu app to replace the physical “Studente della Toscana” card.
